Terms of Service
Updated April 2026
These are the terms that apply when you visit this website or hire St. Simons Island Junk Removal for junk removal, haul-away, cleanout, or related work. We have written them in plain English because that is the only way terms are actually read.
This is general information about how we operate. We are not lawyers and nothing on this page is legal advice. If you need guidance about your specific situation, consult a licensed attorney.
Acceptance of terms
By using this website or by hiring St. Simons Island Junk Removal for a junk removal job, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or book our service. We may update these terms from time to time (see "Changes to these terms" below).
Services we provide
St. Simons Island Junk Removal is a locally owned junk removal service based on St. Simons Island, Georgia. We offer a range of services including general junk removal, furniture and appliance haul-away, mattress and hot tub removal, garage and estate cleanouts, yard debris and construction debris removal, light demolition, and commercial office cleanouts. A full list is available on our Services page.
We serve St. Simons Island and the surrounding Golden Isles, including Sea Island, Brunswick, Jekyll Island, Darien, and nearby communities. Service availability outside this area is confirmed on a job-by-job basis.
Quotes, scheduling, and cancellations
Quotes are free. Contacting us for a quote does not obligate you to anything. We give a price either by phone, by photo, or by an on-site walkthrough. You are under no obligation to book us after receiving a quote.
Scheduling. Once you accept a quote, we schedule a pickup window that works for both of us. Same-day and next-day windows are often available when the schedule allows.
Cancellations. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please let us know as early as possible so we can use the time for another customer. We do not charge cancellation fees for ordinary, timely cancellations. For large scheduled jobs where we have committed significant crew time or rented equipment in advance, we may ask to recover direct costs if the job is canceled without reasonable notice. If that ever applies, we will discuss it with you in advance.
Pricing and estimates
Our pricing is based on the volume of space your items take up in our truck, not by weight or by the hour. We give you an all-in quote before any work begins. What we quote is what you pay, absent a meaningful change in scope (for example, items added or access that turns out to be materially different from what was described at quoting).
Quotes based on photos or descriptions are estimates; final pricing is confirmed on-site before we load anything. If the job is materially larger than described, we will tell you the adjusted price before starting work, and you can decide how to proceed.
Items we do not accept
For safety and compliance reasons, we do not transport or dispose of:
- Hazardous waste — paint thinners, solvents, acids, pesticides
- Medical waste, biohazards, or sharps
- Loose asbestos or other regulated materials
- Live ammunition, explosives, or fireworks
- Liquid paint (empty or dried paint cans are fine)
- Gasoline, motor oil, or other liquid fuels
For these items, your county or municipal hazardous waste program is the appropriate route. We are happy to point you in the right direction.
Property access and responsibility
When you book service, you confirm that:
- You own the items to be removed, or you have permission to have them removed
- You have the authority to allow our crew onto the property
- You will provide reasonable access — keys, gate codes, parking, or a contact on site as needed
- You have cleared any items you want to keep from the areas we will be working
If we arrive and are unable to access the site or complete the job due to circumstances outside our control, we may charge a reasonable trip fee to cover the time and fuel.
Our responsibility
We take reasonable care with your property. Our crews use floor protection, work carefully through doorways and stair rails, and clean up after every job. If we cause damage through our direct negligence, contact us and we will make it right — we would rather address an issue head-on than avoid it.
Pre-existing conditions — wear in floors or walls covered by furniture, damage behind appliances, scratches on concealed surfaces — are not caused by us and will typically become visible when items are removed. We will point out anything we notice, but we cannot be responsible for conditions that existed before we arrived.
Our liability for any claim related to our services is limited to the amount you paid for that specific job. We do not warrant items we dispose of, and we are not responsible for personal items left inside furniture or appliances — please check drawers, pockets, and compartments before we arrive.
Website content
The content on this website is provided for general information. Descriptions of our services, pricing, and timing are accurate to the best of our knowledge but may change. The specific scope and price of any job is confirmed in the quote for that job, not by website content.
Disputes and applicable law
We would rather resolve any concern by talking. If you have an issue with a job, please contact us first — directly and quickly — and we will work to make it right. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it will be governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, and resolved in the appropriate state or federal courts located in Georgia.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The "Updated" date at the top of the page reflects the most recent change. Continued use of the site or our services after an update means you accept the new terms. Material changes will be called out clearly.
