How we handle disposal.
Every load we pick up is sorted at our staging area before it's disposed of. Clean, usable furniture and household goods go to donation first — we route items to local donation channels whenever the condition allows. Metal appliances, steel, and other recyclable materials are taken to recyclers when we can. What's left — broken furniture, stained mattresses, non-recyclable construction debris — is hauled to the appropriate licensed facility. Refrigerants in older appliances are captured by facilities equipped to handle them. Nothing gets dumped on a back road or pushed into the wrong bin. It costs a little more to do it this way, and we think it's worth it.
