Insurance and Licensing

Updated April 2026

For commercial clients, property managers, and facility teams: here is how we document our business, our insurance coverage, and our disposal compliance. If your vendor onboarding requires specific paperwork, contact us and we will get it over to you.

Please note

This is general information about our business. We are not lawyers and nothing on this page is legal advice. If you need guidance about your specific situation, consult a licensed attorney.

Business registration

St. Simons Island Junk Removal operates in the State of Georgia, with the primary service area on St. Simons Island and the surrounding Golden Isles. Public business registration records can be verified via the Georgia Secretary of State business search, and tax-registration details are managed through the Georgia Department of Revenue. Specific filing information is available on request for commercial onboarding and vendor-approval processes.

Liability insurance

St. Simons Island Junk Removal maintains general liability insurance appropriate for a junk removal service. Coverage includes the operational risks you would expect a hauler to carry — bodily injury, property damage, and completed-operations coverage for the work we do on your site.

Commercial clients, property managers, and facility teams who need a Certificate of Insurance (COI) for vendor onboarding can request one by contacting us. We can name your company as a certificate holder and, where typical, as an additional insured on the policy for the duration of the work.

How to request a Certificate of Insurance

Please include the following in your request so we can get the certificate to your carrier quickly:

  • Your company's legal name and mailing address
  • Specific additional-insured language required by your vendor policy
  • Whether the certificate should cover a single job or a recurring engagement
  • Any specific coverage limits or endorsements your policy requires
  • The email address your carrier wants the certificate delivered to

We will pass the request to our insurance broker, who will issue the certificate directly to the email you provide. Standard turnaround is one to two business days.

Worker safety and training

Our crews are trained in safe lifting, proper use of dollies and straps, floor and doorway protection, and appropriate personal protective equipment for the work we do. For commercial and property management clients, we follow site- specific safety procedures your facility provides.

Disposal compliance

We take loads to licensed disposal facilities. Recyclable materials — metals, appliances, cardboard — are routed to recyclers when we can. Refrigerants from older appliances are captured by facilities equipped to handle them. We do not illegally dump, and we do not use unlicensed facilities.

For details on our disposal approach, see our Sustainability page.

Confidentiality and documentation

For estate work, foreclosure and REO cleanouts, and sensitive commercial projects, we document work with before/after photos when requested and hold property details in confidence. This is covered in the specific scope of work we agree to for each engagement.

Contact for documentation requests

The fastest way to get any of this paperwork — COI, references, documented disposal records for a specific job — is to contact us directly. We handle vendor onboarding requests year-round.
