Frequently asked questions

Answers, by topic.

Updated April 2026

Twenty-five of the questions we get most often — booking, pricing, what we take, what to expect on service day, commercial work, and how disposal actually works. If what you need is not here, call (912) 914-5865 and we will answer it live.

Booking and scheduling

Booking and scheduling.

Short, honest answers to what people ask most. If your question isn't covered, just pick up the phone — we answer it live.

Call (912) 914-5865, text the same number, or submit a quote request on our website. We respond within an hour during business hours and schedule a pickup window that works for you.

Same-day and next-day windows are often available on St. Simons Island, especially for weekday calls placed earlier in the day. For larger cleanouts, a few days of notice helps us allocate the right crew size.

Yes, but we recommend getting a quote first so you know the price up front. Most quotes take a few minutes by phone or photo; they are free and you are not obligated to book.

Yes. Evening and weekend windows are available, especially for commercial jobs and vacation-rental turnovers. Let us know when works best for your schedule.

No problem. Call or text as early as possible and we will move your window to the next available slot. There is no fee for ordinary, timely reschedules.

Pricing and payment

Pricing and payment.

Short, honest answers to what people ask most. If your question isn't covered, just pick up the phone — we answer it live.

Pricing is based on the volume of space your items take up in our truck. A single item is typically one of our most affordable jobs; a full truckload is priced at the top of our scale. You always get an all-in quote before work begins.

No. We price by volume — the space items take in the truck — not by weight and not by the hour. That means no meter ticking up while we work.

Yes. Quotes are always free, and there is no obligation to book after receiving one. Quotes can be given by phone, by photo, or by an on-site walkthrough.

We accept common forms of payment used for local service work. We confirm the payment method on your specific job when we quote it. We do not collect payment information on the website.

No. What we quote is what you pay — no hourly surprises, no dump fees tacked on, no fuel surcharges. If a job turns out materially larger than described, we tell you the adjusted price before loading another item.

What we take

What we take and don't take.

Short, honest answers to what people ask most. If your question isn't covered, just pick up the phone — we answer it live.

Just about everything a home or business produces: furniture, appliances, mattresses, electronics, yard debris, construction debris, boxes, garage and estate contents, hot tubs, sheds, and whole-property cleanouts.

We do not take hazardous waste (paint thinners, solvents, chemicals), medical waste, loose asbestos or other regulated materials, live ammunition, explosives, or liquid paint and fuels. Your county hazardous waste program handles those.

Yes. Single-item pickups are one of our most common jobs — especially mattresses, single pieces of furniture, and individual appliances.

Yes. We disconnect standard plug-in units, haul them out on dollies with floor protection, and take them to facilities equipped to capture refrigerants properly.

Yes. We drain, disconnect, dismantle on site, and haul out the full unit in a single visit — without tearing up the deck or patio around it.

Day of service

What to expect on service day.

Short, honest answers to what people ask most. If your question isn't covered, just pick up the phone — we answer it live.

Not always. For straightforward pickups, many customers point things out and head out while the crew works. For larger cleanouts, we recommend a brief walkthrough at the start and at the end.

No. Our crew handles all the loading and lifting, whether items are in the garage, upstairs, in the backyard, or down a long dock walkway.

Yes. Floor protection and careful doorway work are standard on every job, not extras.

Most single-item and small jobs take under an hour. Full garages and multi-room cleanouts typically run 2–4 hours. Whole-property cleanouts run a day or more. We give you a realistic window when we quote.

Commercial and recurring

Short, honest answers to what people ask most. If your question isn't covered, just pick up the phone — we answer it live.

Yes. A significant share of our work on St. Simons Island is through property managers, vacation-rental operators, and realtors. We work around turnover calendars and coordinate with cleaning teams on the same day.

Yes. Offices, retail locations, and contractors on active projects can schedule recurring pickup windows. Contact us to set up a schedule that fits your operation.

Yes. Commercial clients who need a Certificate of Insurance for vendor onboarding can request one through our insurance broker. Standard turnaround is one to two business days. See the Insurance & Licensing page for details.

Disposal and sustainability

Disposal and sustainability.

Short, honest answers to what people ask most. If your question isn't covered, just pick up the phone — we answer it live.

Every load is sorted at our staging yard. Usable items are routed to local donation channels when possible; metals are taken to recyclers when we can; the rest is taken to appropriate licensed facilities — never illegal dumping.

Yes. Metal appliances and scrap metal are routed to recyclers whenever we can. Refrigerants from older appliances are captured by facilities equipped to handle them.

When pieces are clean, safe, and usable, we route them to local donation channels. Stained, broken, or pest-affected items go to appropriate disposal — nothing gets donated that someone would not actually want.
